What couples often ask
Answers about music planning, ceremony sound, reception DJ services, hosting, equipment, travel, payment, and what to expect before your wedding day.
-
I primarily work with weddings, providing music for ceremonies and receptions. I also DJ corporate events and private celebrations on a limited basis. Every event is approached with the same level of preparation and care.
-
I provide personalized DJ and MC services for wedding receptions, with ceremony coverage, professional sound, dance floor lighting, venue uplighting, photo booth service, and custom production options available depending on your plans.
-
Yes. I serve as an upbeat, professional host throughout the event, making clear announcements and helping transitions run smoothly. My approach is low-key and supportive; the focus stays on you and your guests, not on the microphone.
-
As involved as you want. You can share must-plays, do-not-plays, favorite artists, playlists, specific genres, or general ideas about the atmosphere you want. I use that direction to build a musical foundation that feels personal while leaving enough flexibility to respond to your guests in real time.
-
No. Every wedding is planned individually and mixed live. I prepare around your taste, timeline, and priorities, then read the room and adjust throughout the reception. Your wedding will not follow the same fixed playlist as someone else’s.
-
That decision is yours. I can welcome requests, use them selectively, or decline them completely. Any request I consider still has to fit your preferences, your do-not-play list, and the direction of the dance floor.
-
I use professional-grade sound and lighting equipment appropriate for weddings and bring backup gear for all components. Everything is chosen for reliability, clean sound, and a polished look.
-
Yes. I bring backup equipment for all essential components so your event can continue smoothly in the event of a technical issue.
-
In the unlikely event that I’m unable to attend due to an emergency, I work within a trusted network of professional DJs. I would personally coordinate a replacement and transfer all of your planning notes, music preferences, and timeline details so the day runs smoothly. I’ve never missed a wedding I’ve booked.
-
No. Music plays continuously throughout the reception. If I need to step away briefly, the music continues seamlessly.
-
Yes. I carry liability insurance and can provide proof of coverage if your venue requires it.

There is no travel fee for weddings in the Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill) or the Triad (Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point). Events outside these areas may include a travel fee.
-
A signed contract and a $500 down payment secure your date. The remaining balance is due one week before the event. Payment plans are available. I accept Venmo and Zelle, and there are no surprise fees.
